Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Treatment Demo - Join us!

  • Fourmile Stillwater 2032 Nova Scotia Trunk 8 Canada (map)

Are you growing concerned about the future of Eastern Hemlocks?

Are you interested to learn about HWA treatment options, to help protect Hemlocks from the invasive pest?

The Medway Community Forest Co-op is hosting a public HWA treatment demonstration on Sunday, November 27 at the Four Mile Stillwater Trail, 5 minutes north of Maitland Bridge along highway 8.

Participants will learn how to identify HWA and monitor the health of their trees. We will see trees at various stages of decline from HWA and share about chemical treatment options currently available for conserving healthy hemlocks.

Forty-five-minute tours will begin at 10:00, 11:00, 12:30 & 1:30. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

This event is in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia and undertaken with the financial support of Environment and Climate Change Canada.
