Hemlock Hero Training Event

  • Hemlock Conservation Office 9853 Nova Scotia Trunk 8 Caledonia, NS, B0T 1B0 Canada (map)

Join us for a treatment training event and become a Hemlock Hero!

By becoming a Hemlock Hero, you contribute to protecting our old-growth hemlock forests and gain valuable knowledge about pesticide safety and treatment applications.

Upon completing the training, you can sign up for volunteer opportunities and join our strike team in the field. We'll provide you with all the necessary tools and support to carry out your tasks safely and effectively.

As a Hemlock Hero volunteer, you play a vital role in protecting hemlock trees threatened by the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA).

Prospective volunteers should come prepared for a full day outdoors. Please bring water, lunch/snacks, and appropriate clothing/footwear. While everyone is welcome to participate, it's important to note that this kind of work involves the use of pesticides. To receive more information, please complete the registration process.

Please contact Jessica Ihlen, the Hemlock Conservation Project Coordinator, for any further inquiries.
