Yoga in the Woods

  • Four Mile Stillwater Trail Maitland Bridge, NS, B0T 1B0 Canada (map)

Flow in the forest with roots and soil grounding you at this unique riverside yoga class under the old growth hemlock canopy.

Join us Saturday morning at the Four Mile Stillwater Trail in the Medway Lakes Protected Area. Bring your yoga mat or a towel, water, and bug spray or long sleeves to help fight bites.

Andrea Wegerer has a master degree in social work but since her move to Nova Scotia in 1998 she has been the manager of Mersey River Chalets and Nature Retreat in Maitland Bridge.

She has been practicing yoga since the early 80s and took her Yoga Teacher training in 2003. She has been teaching yoga classes for all levels in the community, including chair yoga, yoga for youth and has co-lead yoga retreats. She loves to share her love for Yoga and enjoys the outdoors in solitude or with her grandkids and the dog.

We're grateful to partner with her on this yoga session since it was well loved in 2019.

Access the trail on the north side of Trunk rd 8, you'll see a sign for parking on your right 50 m in. Walk down to the river side and meet us there for 9:45am. It's about 30 mins by car from Annapolis Royal and 20 minutes by car from Caledonia.

The session will be capped at 15 participants for the space, most of us won't be on flat, even ground but the class will be tailored for the natural setting.
